BIOGRAPHY
A graduate in history, political science and cinema from UCLA (University of California Los Angeles), Gregory Hoblit began his career in Chicago, as a producer and associate producer of various local talk shows . In 1979, he began producing television series such as Captain Furillo , New York Police Blues and Los Angeles Law , serials of which he directed numerous episodes, with several awards to boot.
We had to wait until 1996 to see Gregory Hoblit move on to film production. A successful trial run with Primal Fear , a legal thriller which at the same time launched the career of Edward Norton . Two years later, the director continued in the suspense vein with A Witness to Evil which leans towards the fantastic, a cinematographic orientation that was confirmed in 2000 by the remarkable Fréquence forbidden , led by the tandem Dennis Quaid / Jim Caviezel .
In 2002, another star duo, Bruce Willis / Colin Farrell , took part, under the leadership of Gregory Hoblit, in the game of an Escape Mission during the Second World War. Unfortunately, the film was a commercial failure. Four years would pass before the filmmaker decided to take over the reins of a new project. It will be The Fault , a thriller served this time by Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling which will mark his return to his first love, the judiciary.
