BIOGRAPHY
Rodrigo Bellot is a Bolivian director and screenwriter, born on October 4, 1978, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. As a teenager, he was part of the cast of Casateatro actors for four years, before moving to the United States and studying film and visual arts at Ithaca College in New York, where he made his first short film, Solo, which won an award . the Rochester Festival. With just two more short films, Bellot ventured out and managed to make his first feature film, Sexual Dependence (2003), present and celebrated at festivals such as Locarno, Montevideo and San Francisco, among others. He achieved box office success with his second film, Who Killed the Little White Flame? (2007), which helped him undertake and sustain several projects such as the films Perfidia (2009), Tu me manques (2019) and The Latin Boys: Volume 1 (2019). Tu me manques is part of the selection of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) that competes for the Maguey Illuminatio Award and the Mezcal Award for Ibero-American Fiction Feature Film in 2020.
