BIOGRAPHY
Born into a Catholic family of Italian descent, Talia Shire is the daughter of the chef Italia Coppola and the composer Carmine Coppola . She has two brothers, director Francis Ford Coppola and academic August Coppola (who is the father of Nicolas Cage ). It was therefore quite natural that she decided to become an actress.

After an appearance in A Man is Dead (1972), his career took off when his brother offered him the character of Connie Corleone, daughter of Vito and brother of Michael, in The Godfather , which was both a commercial and critical success. An important character that she takes up in The Godfather, Part 2 (1975) and The Godfather, Part 3 (1991).

In 1976, Talia Shire found her second and last cult role, that of Adrian in Rocky , wife of the title role played by Sylvester Stallone . Here again, this film made with few resources became a classic and led to several sequels, in which she played this character again: Rocky II , Rocky III , Rocky IV , Rocky V and Rocky Balboa .

Alongside these two cult sagas, she can be seen in the horror The Monster (1979), the drama Windows (1980), the sketch film New York Stories (1989), the comedy Like Father, What a Son! (1992), the thriller Deadfall (1993) and the thriller The Landlady (1998). But she fails to return to success.

During the 2000s, Talia Shire became even more discreet. She still got roles in Kiss the Bride! , I Love Huckabees (alongside his son Jason Schwartzman ), Flames of the Past , A Billionaire in New York and Palo Alto . She also appears in the series Kingdom then Grace and Frankie .
